The Information Security Laboratory (ISL) was founded in 2003. The main goal of ISL is not only to support the students, postgraduate researchers and young specialists in their scientific research activity in the field of information security, but also
to select them for further employment in public and private organizations. The scientific research-related activity of the ISL focuses on:

Organizational measures in the field of information security;

Testing and certifying products and services in the field of information security;

Cryptographic methods for information protection;

Information Systems Security Auditing;

Economic efficiency of information security systems.
The Information Security Laboratory holds annual international conferences and student contests entitled “Information Security”.
The ISL has tight collaboration with similar organizations from Russian Federation, Ukraine and Bulgaria. For detailed information
